Esplanade 5k Run & Walk

The Esplanade 5K Run & Walk, hosted by the Esplanade Association, takes place on the Charles River Esplanade at Fiedler Field near the Night Shift Beer Garden in Boston. The event offers two 5K options: a timed 5K Run with a chipped bib and awards, and a 5K Walk (untimed) open to all. Aimed at inclusivity, the new Walk lets dog walkers, strollers, and casual pace participants join without crowding the course.

The route follows the Esplanade’s paved paths, with a festive atmosphere that includes fall-themed activities, vendor samples, food, music, and family-friendly entertainment.
