F^3 Cap Sauers Trail Marathon
The F^3 Cap Sauers Trail Marathon & 10 Mile is a trail running event held at Teason’s Woods in Palos Hills, Illinois. The marathon covers 26.2 miles, featuring two circuits of the 10-mile course plus an additional out-and-back segment, while the 10 Mile race follows the Sag Valley Trail. Both courses are wide horse trails with minimal technical terrain but include significant elevation—over 1,000 feet for the marathon—making it a challenging, "mountainous" race by Chicago standards.
Aid stations are conveniently located at turnaround points, providing water, nutrition, and porta-potties. Participants receive a sunflower-themed technical hat, a wooden finisher medal, and marathoners get a finisher shirt. Post-race festivities include chili, beer, and awards.
