Fallen Soldiers Run

2025 Fallen Soldiers 5K Run/Walk is held on Western Illinois University's campus on University Circle in Macomb, Illinois. The event offers a 5K Run/Walk and a 1-Mile Walk, plus student-specific variants and a virtual option, attracting about 400–500 participants. The fundraiser supports the WIU Fallen Soldiers Scholarship Fund, honoring two WIU alumni killed in the line of duty.

Before the race, a special program commemorates Fallen Soldiers and current scholarship recipients. Timing is provided by ShaZam Racing. The course unfolds on campus routes around University Circle, blending community fitness with tribute to veterans and service members.
