About the race
Fiery Gizzard Run is a trail ultramarathon held at Foster Falls State Park in Tracy City, Tennessee, offering marathon, half-marathon, and 13-mile ruck divisions on the Fiery Gizzard Trail—one of the US’s Top 25 trails. Runners are treated to waterfalls, striking rock formations, and expansive overlooks, with a mostly ridgeline profile and several steep, technical descents into gorges. Marathoners complete the trail twice in an out-and-back format, starting and finishing at Grundy Forest; half-marathoners traverse the trail once, with a transportation plan between start locations.
Aid stations are spaced roughly 6-8 miles apart. A HardRuck division is also available for weighted backpack entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
