Finger Lakes 50S
The Finger Lakes 50s is an internationally recognized ultramarathon held in the Finger Lakes National Forest in Hector, NY. The event offers three distances: 25K (16.5 miles), 50K (approximately 32.9 miles), and 50 miles. All races follow the same 16.5-mile loop course featuring 85% single-track trails, 5% grassy pastures with grazing cows, and 10% dirt and paved roads, with 1,292 feet of climb per loop.
The 25K runners complete one loop, 50K runners two loops, and 50-milers three loops plus a half-mile baby loop. The race starts and finishes at the Potomac Group Campground, where a BBQ and awards ceremony create a festive atmosphere. Four fully stocked aid stations support runners along the course.
Camping is available for participants during race weekend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
