SoCal's Sunset Trick or Trot 5K/10K takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Bolsa Chica State Beach, Lot 25, Huntington Beach, CA. The event includes multiple distances and youth races.

Event details
The course is out-and-back on a flat, paved path with ocean views. Start and finish are in Lot 25 at Bolsa Chica State Beach. Registration items include RFID chip timing by Itz About Time, a fall-themed custom shirt, a reversible finisher medal, and a trick-or-treat bag. Awards are given to the top 3 in each 5-year age division (ages 1–80+), top 3 overall male and female finishers, best Halloween costume, best uniform-themed costume, and oldest and youngest finishers. The event is pet and stroller friendly - leashed pets allowed with a maximum 5 ft leash, and strollers should start near the back. Parking options include parking in nearby Sunset Beach with a walk-in, or entering via the Bolsa Chica State Beach main gate where a cash fee is recommended. The event benefits programs assisting the armed services and is part of a series of Caren Ware events that offers a bonus medal for completing multiple races.
