Flat Branch Ultra
The Flat Branch Ultra is a 50K ultramarathon held annually in Columbia, Missouri, typically on the third Saturday in February. The race starts and finishes at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park and follows an out-and-back course along the Missouri River, featuring the scenic Katy Trail and the historic nearly 400-year-old Burr Oak tree about 8.5 miles in.
Runners experience stunning views of river bluffs and may spot eagles overhead. Aid stations and drop bag support are provided along the route. The event is known for its beautiful rails-to-trails setting and is sponsored by Fleet Feet Columbia and Jefferson City. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
