Flat Branch Ultra : Columbia, MO
Flat Branch Ultra is a rails-to-trails 50K event held in Columbia, Missouri. The 2026 course will be USATF certified. The race starts and finishes at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park at 800 West Stadium Blvd. Title and certification sponsors are Fleet Feet Columbia and Fleet Feet Jefferson City. The event is organized by Ha Ha Racing Events.
Course and race details
The out-and-back route follows the MKT Trail to the Katy Trail, runs along the Missouri River and beneath river bluffs, and has a turnaround just east of Rocheport. The nearly 400-year-old Burr Oak appears about 8.5 miles into the course. Aid stations are located at the start/finish, Scott Blvd (miles 3.25 and 25.5), Burr Oak (miles 8.5 and 20.5), and the Turnaround Aid Station (mile 15.5). Drop bags left at the start/finish are transported to the Turnaround Aid Station and returned after the turnaround. Competitors must reach the Turnaround Aid Station by noon. Packet pickup is race day only at the start/finish area and competitors are required to sign a USATF waiver at pickup. Finisher awards and top three overall male and female awards are presented at the finish and must be accepted in person. Photographs will be posted and made available at no charge.
