Event
The Flat Rock Trail Race is the second annual running event held on June 13th, 2026 in Dunstable, Massachusetts, at 510 High Street. The race offers two options:
- 5-mile run/walk/hike
- 6-hour event on the same 5-mile loop, with as many loops as a participant chooses
All proceeds benefit the Humane Society for Greater Nashua. The organizers acknowledge the Dunstable Conservation Commission and the Dunstable Rural Land Trust for use of the property. The event states it is welcoming and equitable for all people regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, ability, or pace.
Course
The course begins along the Massachusetts/New Hampshire border and follows the old Nashua, Acton and Boston railroad bed, crossing a stone Arched Bridge. The route passes a field that was the Ferrari farm and a former granite quarry, runs through New England woods, and reaches a peak on the former Blanchard Hill Ski Area. Runners descend to an aid station, return to woods, climb to the top of Flat Rock Hill, descend again, cross former farmland, and follow single-track trails back to the start/finish. Each 5-mile loop has nearly 600 feet of elevation gain. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
