Event overview
The Florida Death Race is a point-to-point trail running event held March 7, 2026, in northern Florida. The race benefits the Florida Trail Association and takes place largely on the Florida National Scenic Trail. The course includes river views along the Suwannee River and uses remote singletrack trail. Course maps, aid station breakdowns, and cutoff times are provided by the organizer.
Courses and key rules
- 74-mile point-to-point race; about 2,500 feet of elevation gain; 21-hour cutoff.
- 37-mile point-to-point race; about 1,500 feet of elevation gain; 12-hour cutoff.
The 74-mile start is at Full Circle Dairy farm in Lee, FL, and the finish is at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in White Springs, FL. The 37-mile race follows the final portion of the full course and also finishes at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park. Runners are required to carry a 1 lb railroad spike for the entire race; finishers dispose of that spike in a wooden coffin and 74-mile finishers receive an engraved spike, while 37-mile finishers receive a medal. The top 100 finishers of the 74-mile race receive early registration access for the Georgia Death Race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
