About the race
Footsteps For Families in New Brunswick, New Jersey is a running and walking event hosted by GlobeMed at Rutgers in partnership with Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey. The fundraiser supports PCANJ’s mission to promote family wellbeing and prevent child abuse, with proceeds benefiting the organization’s programs. The event offers a 1 Mile Walk and a 5K Run and Walk.
Along the course, participants learn about the Five Protective Factors—Parental Resilience, Social Connections, Concrete Support in Times of Need, Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development, and Social and Emotional Competence of Children. Afterward, attendees enjoy food, music, games, and prizes for top finishers. First 100 registrants receive a race T-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
