For the Children 5K

The 5K For the Children is a family-friendly running event held in Harwich Port, Massachusetts, benefiting Shriners Children's and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Participants can choose between an in-person 5K race or a virtual 5K option.

The race course starts at the Harwich Chamber of Commerce parking lot on Schoolhouse Road and follows a scenic route through Pleasant, South, Forest, Sisson, Parallel, Bank, and Miles streets before returning to the start. Registrants receive free race t-shirts if they sign up early and enjoy an after-party with an awards ceremony sponsored by Red River BBQ, including two free beers for in-person runners showing their race bib.
