Forgotten Forest 9-Hour Ultra : May 16, 2026
The Forgotten Forest 9-Hour Ultra takes place at Roosevelt Forest in Stratford, CT (GPS address: 700 Peters Lane). The event is limited to 50 participants. Registration is final; there are no refunds, bib transfers, or deferrals. Participants must be at least 18 years old or have a parental/guardian signed waiver. Entry fees are used for event production and some local charities. CDC, state, and town requirements will be applied.
Course and race-day details
The course is a well-marked single and double-track New England trail with roots, rocks, hills and bridges. The loop is approximately 2.2 miles with about 131 feet of elevation gain per lap. The pavilion is the only aid station; porta potties are located nearby. Small tables, chairs, and canopies are allowed in the picnic area near the pavilion. Parking space is limited; larger vehicles should use the side lot and RVs are not permitted. Dogs are allowed as spectators but must be kept on leash.
Additional notes: pacers are permitted after four hours of racing with a signed waiver and wristband from the pavilion; there is no charge for pacers. Race swag includes items and non-alcoholic beer from a sponsor; race t-shirts are available for purchase during registration with a limited quantity on race day. Podium awards are given for most miles achieved by the end of the race for top three male and female finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
