Event overview
The Forgotten Forest 9-Hour Ultra is a timed trail running event held at Roosevelt Forest in Stratford, CT. The race is limited to 50 participants. Registration is final; there are no refunds, bib transfers, or deferrals. Participants must be at least 18 years old or have a parental/guardian signed waiver. Entry fees support event production and provide some support to diversified charities affiliated with Roosevelt Forest Ultras.
Course and logistics
The course is a well-marked single and double-track New England trail with roots, rocks, hills, and bridges. The loop measures 2.2 miles with approximately 131 feet of elevation gain per lap. The pavilion serves as the only aid station and the central race area for bib and swag pickup, small crew setups, and pacer check-in. Porta potties are located nearby. Parking space is limited; larger vehicles should use the side lot and RVs are not permitted. Dogs are allowed as spectators but must be kept on leash. Pacers are permitted after four hours of racing, must sign a waiver, and must receive a wristband; there is no charge for pacers. Race swag includes items from sponsors, including non-alcoholic beer from Athletic Brewing, and race t-shirts are available for purchase.
