The Fort Mardi Gras Fun 5k Run/Walk & Fest has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The event will take place at Ferry Park; check-in plus start/finish is located at the Ferry Park entrance (56 Ferry Rd NE). The race is presented by the John Cain Foundation and includes a public Mardi Gras festival following the run/walk.
Features and notes
Every registered participant will receive a custom Mardi Gras medal; same-day registrants may not be guaranteed a medal. The festival portion is free and open to the public and will include vendors, food trucks, face painting, gumbo, music, Mardi Gras beads, and sponsor booths. Leashed dogs and baby strollers are permitted. Children age 10 and under are free with an adult registration, with child registration handled when picking up packet and bib numbers. Registered participants from the canceled 2025 event may request a refund or allow their registration to be transferred to the 2026 event.
