Fort Worth Oktoberfest 5K & Fun Run
The Fort Worth Oktoberfest 5K and 1-mile Fun Run takes place on September 26, 2026, in Fort Worth, TX, at Trinity Park (2933 Farmhouse Way). The 5K course runs along the Trinity Trail and is described as fairly flat with scenic views. The event is held alongside the Fort Worth Oktoberfest festival and includes several contests, such as a costume contest, largest team contest, and stein hoisting. Dressing in lederhosen is recommended.

Participants receive event items including a race shirt, custom finisher medal, race bib, a commemorative Fort Worth Oktoberfest beer stein, a free three-day pass to the Fort Worth Oktoberfest, and two beer tickets for those over 21. The event also offers free race day parking and an after-party with music.
Logistics and awards
Packet pickup is available the week before the event at Dallas Running Company (Plano and Southlake locations) and Fort Worth Running Company, with additional pickup at the race venue on race day. Virtual runners can upload results between September 26, 2026 and December 31, 2026; virtual packets are scheduled to ship starting the week of September 28, 2026.
Awards are given 1st-3rd overall male and female, 1st overall masters male and female, and top three in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 80+. Awards must be claimed in person and will not be mailed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
