2nd Annual Fostering 5K
The 2nd Annual Fostering 5K takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Jacksonville, TX (75766). The event’s stated mission is to raise awareness of the need for foster families in Cherokee County. Proceeds from the race will benefit Fostering Bridges.

Race details and services
Packet pick-up and check-in are offered the day before at Chick-fil-A, 502 S Jackson St, Jacksonville, and on race day at the event location (East Side Elementary parking lot is listed for directions). Registration closes November 1, 2025. A course map is available through MapMyRun and an Athlete Guide for 2025 is provided.
Awards will be given to the top three male and top three female 5K finishers, and to first place male and female athletes age 40 and above. The event supports RaceJoy for phone-based live GPS tracking, progress alerts, and virtual cheers; participants must carry their phone and enable tracking to use these features.
