Four on the Fourth - Chapel Hill

The Four on the Fourth is a 4-mile USATF-certified race held annually in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, starting at McDougle Middle School. The course winds through Carrboro's neighborhoods and finishes on the McDougle track. Scheduled for July 4, 2025, this race is the first event in the Le Tour de Carrboro series, which includes two additional races later in the year.

Participants enjoy professional timing, age group awards, and unique pottery trophies crafted by a local artist. The event features water stops, encourages hydration due to summer heat, and welcomes walkers and strollers. Kids aged 2-10 can join free "Little Firecracker" races after the main event.
