Fourth of July Run for a Reason

Registration

The 2025 Fourth of July Run for a Reason is a charitable running event held annually in Orinda, California, supporting the Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood Foundation. Participants can choose between a 2-mile or 5-mile run/walk, both starting and finishing at the Orinda Community Center. The 2-mile course is an out-and-back route along Camino Pablo to Manzanita Drive, while the 5-mile course extends further, incorporating the Wagner Ranch School parking lot, Bear Creek Road, and the Old San Pablo Trail before returning.

The event kicks off the city's July 4th festivities and honors the memory of Wesley Frey. Registration is available online and on race day, with shirts sold separately. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
