Freedom Half

The Freedom Half is a scenic half marathon held in Georgetown, Washington, DC, along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path. The course is a fast, flat out-and-back route on a light gravel dirt road with minimal elevation change, starting and ending near the Potomac Boat Club. The event also features a 5K race beginning and ending at Fletcher’s Boathouse on the same canal path.

Both races offer chip timing, finisher medals, and technical shirts. Walkers are welcome, and a virtual race option is available. Proceeds benefit Operation Enduring Warrior, supporting veterans.
