The Frosty Cox 6 Hour Trail Race is set for January 10, 2026 in Concord, North Carolina at 3702 Sapp Road. The event uses a private trail system and challenges participants to complete as many full loops as they wish within a six-hour window. The course is a single loop of 6.2 miles; completing one full loop qualifies a participant as a finisher and earns a finisher award. Entries are limited.
Course and logistics
The loop is made up of about 95% singletrack, 5% jeep road, and 100% dirt. Each loop includes 1,350 feet of elevation gain and features a creek crossing, hardwood forest sections, and mature pine groves, with a mix of climbs and descents. Only full laps count toward the distance total. An on-course aid station returns runners to the loop start each lap and supplies standard snacks, Tailwind, and home-baked goods; hot cocoa may be available if conditions warrant. Awards include a finishers award for one lap, a 50K award for completing 5 laps (31 miles) within the six-hour limit, and top overall male and female awards.
