Event overview

Frozen Trash Panda is the second race in the Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series. It takes place at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, AL. Distances offered:

  • 10K
  • Half Marathon

The series includes three races held from late December to January and features short and long race distances. The race is capped at 400 runners. Registration closes on December 31 at 11:59 PM CT.

Logistics and course information

The event is a cupless race; participants must carry a handheld bottle, pack, or reusable cup. A RunningLane reusable cup is available for purchase for $5 at checkout. Several aid stations will be on course offering water, Gatorade, coke, GU, pretzels, M&M's, granola bars, and similar items. Course features include bluff views, creek crossings, and waterfalls.

Packet pickup is at the RunningLane store (2407 Memorial Parkway SW Suite 1, Huntsville, AL) on the Friday before the race from 12:00-5:00 PM, with limited pickup available the morning of the race. All finishers receive a t-shirt (same shirt across the series; short sleeve tri-blend) and a finisher award. Age groups run from 0-9 up to 70+. There are very loose cutoffs; the long series has a 17 minute per mile cutoff. No refunds, deferrals, credits, or transfers are available.
