Gallop & Gorge 8K

The Gallop & Gorge 8K is a Thanksgiving morning race held in downtown Carrboro, North Carolina, as part of the Le Tour de Carrboro race series. This USATF-certified 8K (4.97 miles) course starts and finishes on Weaver Street, winding through local neighborhoods. Known as the best Turkey Trot in the Triangle, it offers a festive atmosphere to burn calories before holiday meals while supporting local charities.

Registration is affordable at $30, with convenient bib pickup at Fleet Feet Carrboro. The event features unique pottery awards, age group and special category prizes, and includes free kids' races.
