Geyser Growl Half Marathon

The Geyser Growl Half Marathon, presented by Hillman Beer, is a popular fall race held in North Carolina. Starting at Lake Tomahawk Park in Black Mountain, the scenic 13.1-mile course passes the historic Andrews Geyser and finishes in the revitalized town of Old Fort at Hillman Beer’s new location. The route features a mix of paved and dirt roads with six aid stations offering water, Gatorade, and snacks.

Runners enjoy a festive atmosphere with post-race hot soup and cold beer. The event is USATF certified, limited to 500 participants, and includes awards for overall and age group finishers.
