Girls Just Wanna Run 5K

About the race

Now in its 15th year, the Girls Just Wanna Run 5K takes place at 599 Bantam Rd, Bantam, CT along Bantam Lake. The mostly-flat 5K course is for women and girls of all ages who run or walk together. It is a fundraiser hosted by Litchfield Park and Recreation and Bantam Sunshine Fund to promote health and wellness for girls and women.

There are separate 5K events for ages 12 and younger and for ages 13 and older. Perks include free Tek T-Shirts for signup by 08/01/2025, top finish prizes, and chip timing by Nutmeg Finish Line Timing. The course runs along Bantam Lake.
