Global 5K

The Global 5K is a unique running event held at Oconee Veterans Park in Watkinsville, Georgia. The race features a 5-kilometer run/walk on a paved trail entirely within the park. Created by a 10-year-old boy, the event supports a charitable cause, with proceeds going to Global Samaritans to build wells in Zambia, providing clean drinking water to a medical clinic.

Participants can join the Global 5K Run/Walk or opt for the Phantom Runner option, which offers a race shirt without running. Awards are given across various age groups and categories.
