Participants are advised to drink non-alcoholic fluids for 48 hours before, during, and after the event, watch for heat-injury symptoms (dizziness, lack of sweating, nausea, cramps, redness, incoherent speech), seek immediate assistance if symptoms occur, and wear loose, light-colored clothing.
