Event overview
The GOVX San Diego Half Marathon & 5K is scheduled for March 22, 2026, in downtown San Diego. The event is the 15th annual edition and is based at 100 North Harbor Drive. The half marathon course includes five miles of waterfront, passes through four historic communities and three San Diego parks, covers two miles through downtown, and finishes in the Gaslamp District. The 5K is a flat loop course in downtown San Diego with the same Gaslamp District finish. Virtual options are available for both distances.

The half marathon has a 3.5-hour time limit; participants must maintain a 16:02-minute-per-mile pace or faster. The 5K has a 1-hour time limit; participants must maintain a 19:21-minute-per-mile pace or faster. Entry includes a technical short-sleeve shirt, a custom finisher's medal, a souvenir reusable grocery bag, a one-day pass to the Columbia Employee Store, support stations along the route, chip timing with live tracking, and a pre-race expo/packet pickup. Finish-line amenities include canned water, a finisher food bag, an ice-cold carton of Hollandia Dairy chocolate milk, post-race food and beverage offers from Gaslamp restaurants, and a finish line festival. The half marathon is the middle race of the 2026 SoCal Triple Crown and offers team scoring for teams of at least ten with at least two of each gender.
