Course and logistics
The start/finish and event staging are at the IMAX Visitor Center in Tusayan. The courses run on mixed surfaces within the Kaibab National Forest and the Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni area, including dirt forest roads, rocky sections, paved multi-use path (part of the Arizona Trail), a sidewalk through town, and gravel lots. The half-marathon is roughly 13.1 miles with about 555 feet of ascent and peaks near 6,729 ft elevation. Aid stations and course support are provided at multiple points on the half and at the 5k turnaround; participants are encouraged to be self-sufficient. Permits do not allow pets on course; some sections remain open to public traffic and shared use. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
