The Mackinac Island Great Turtle Half Marathon & 5.7 Mile takes place on October 25, 2025 on Mackinac Island, Michigan. The event includes these race options:

• Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
• 5.7 Mile Run
• 5.7 Mile Walk
• Half Marathon Virtual Race
• 5.7 Mile Virtual Race

The half marathon and the 5.7 mile events start and finish in front of Mission Point Resort. The half marathon course follows the shoreline for sections, then continues through the island interior on bike trails and roads, and returns to the shoreline for the final segment. Surfaces include paved roads and sections of dirt or gravel.

Logistics and race rules

All registrants receive a commemorative garment, a finish medal, free digital photos, and post-race refreshments. Water stations are placed at approximately 2.5 mile intervals. Porta-johns are located at the half marathon start/finish area; additional restrooms are available at Arch Rock and British Landing along the course.

Events are non-refundable. Transfers or conversion to a virtual entry may be offered; fees and deadlines apply. No roller blades or wheeled vehicles are allowed on course. Baby joggers and pets are discouraged but not prohibited. Headphones are permitted if used with one earpiece out. There are no childcare or shower facilities at Mission Point; unsecured gear may be left in the Sound Stage area and lockers are available at ferry docks.
