Event details
The Greater Purpose takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Friendship Village Campground, 348 Friendship Village Road, Bedford, PA 15522. The event includes these distances:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Walk
- Kids Fun Run
The course runs through the campground and its natural areas. All event proceeds will be donated to missions through a local church.
Logistics and extras
Entry fees listed on the event page are $30 for the 5K and 1 mile walk, and $10 for the Kids Fun Run; prices increase after April 4, 2026. Kids Fun Run registration ends on April 17, 2026. There will be no day-of registration; participants are asked to register at least 24 hours before the race.
Every registered runner receives a race bag with a reusable water bottle. Kids in the Fun Run receive a sweet treat. Bib pick-up and race swag are available on race day in the barn by the main office. Bathrooms are located by the main office, and snacks and drinks will be available at the finish area in the barn. Parking will be indicated by signs. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 12 & under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-49, and 50+.
