Event overview
The Greater St. Louis Marathon takes place in downtown St. Louis on April 11, 2026. The weekend includes multiple in-person and virtual race options:

Registration for each event includes an event shirt, finisher medal, on-course hydration, energy gel stations on the half and full courses, gear check, individual race photos, medical stations, massage therapy, and a post-race party with local food and drinks. An Expo and packet pickup are scheduled on the two days before race day; packet pickup at the Expo is required for most participants.
Race details and rules
Age minimums are set by distance: Marathon 18+, Half Marathon 14+, 10K 12+, 5K 6+, 1-Mile Family Fun Run open to all ages. Course time limits include a 6.5-hour limit referenced for the full marathon and a 3 hour 15 minute limit for the half; the event offers an Early Start option for walkers who expect to finish beyond those limits (eligibility requires proof of a recent finish time). Early starters receive official timing, on-course aid, lead and tail vehicle support, and pacers; safety items such as reflective gear and a headlamp are required before daylight. Wheelchairs are permitted in the marathon and half marathon with registration and a helmet; pets and wheeled devices other than approved wheelchairs are not allowed.
