Grindstone Running Festival by Utmb
The Grindstone Running Festival by UTMB is a premier trail running event held in Natural Chimneys Park, Virginia, just west of the Shenandoah Valley. Set amid the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, the festival offers stunning fall foliage, mountain views, and challenging terrain. Runners can choose from four distances: 100 miles, 100 kilometers, 50 kilometers, and 21 kilometers, each featuring significant elevation gains and technical trails.
Known as one of the hardest courses on the East Coast, it tests endurance across ridges, peaks, and valleys. The event also serves as a qualifier for the UTMB World Series Finals, providing a gateway to iconic global trail races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
