About the race
The Grit and Guts Trail Race, held in Dardanelle, Arkansas, challenges runners with two distances: a Half Grit and Guts (13.1 miles) and a Full Grit and Guts (20 miles), both on Mt. Nebo. This tough, scenic race features rocky trails with significant elevation changes, combining vertical climbs and fast-flowing sections.
The course starts at Sunset Point and includes landmarks like Lizard Tail, Rim Trail, Sunrise Point, and the Chickalah loop. Aid stations are placed every 4-6 miles. The event is free to enter, with optional commemorative shirts available for purchase.
