Groton Forest Trail Run

The Groton Forest Trail Run, held in Groton, Vermont at Boulder Beach State Park, offers scenic and challenging trail races. In 2025, the event features two distances: a 15-mile race and a 6.2-mile race. Recently taken over by Onion River Outdoors, a Montpelier-based gear shop and community organizer, the race continues its tradition of fun, community support, and excellent competition.

While the marathon distance is on hiatus this year, the 25k and 10k races are offered, with plans to reinstate the marathon next year. The event is known for its beautiful forest trails and welcoming atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
