Groundhog Run 2026, held in Kansas City, Missouri, returns for its 44th year on February 1, 2026, benefiting Ability KC. The event offers multiple distances: 5K, 10K, and a Tunnel-To-Tunnel option that combines 5K and 10K, plus a Kids Run and virtual versions of the distances. Runs take place entirely underground in Hunt Midwest SubTropolis, a USATF-certified course that maintains a steady 65–68 degrees, shielding participants from winter weather.
