Groundhog's Lap Race

Groundhog's Lap Race is a unique endurance running event held at Haw River State Park Iron Ore Belt Access in Greensboro, North Carolina. Participants run loops on the 3.2-mile Great Blue Heron Loop singletrack trail through the woods. The race offers multiple time-based challenges: 3-hour, 6-hour, and 12-hour solo races, as well as a 12-hour relay option for teams.

Runners test their stamina and mental toughness by completing as many laps as possible within their chosen time frame. The event features a fun, challenging atmosphere inspired by the Groundhog Day theme, with custom race stickers awarded for milestone achievements.
