GTC Red White and Blue Shoes 5k
The GTC Red White and Blue Shoes 5K is a patriotic running event held annually on July 4th at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. This USATF-certified fast course starts near Paladin Stadium and features a scenic route circling the campus mall, looping around Duke Library, crossing Swan Lake dam, and passing landmarks like the Amphitheater and Bell Tower Road. Runners finish with a memorable sprint onto the 50-yard line of Paladin Stadium.
The race is limited to 1,200 participants, who receive a high-quality runner's cap. Proceeds support the Blue Shoes Track Scholarship program, aiding student athletes in academics and athletics.
