Habanero Hundred
The Habanero Hundred is a challenging trail running event held annually in August at the scenic 7IL Ranch near Bellville, Texas. Known as Texas' hottest trail race, it offers multiple distances including 100 miles, 100 kilometers, 50 kilometers, marathon, half marathon, 10K, and relay options for 100M and 100K. The course features a 10km loop with about 280 feet of elevation gain, run counterclockwise on sandy terrain.
The race starts at high noon with a 30-hour cutoff, emphasizing heat preparedness due to Texas summer conditions. Participants receive chip timing, event shirts, and finishers earn belt buckles or medals. Aid stations provide hydration and food, and pacing is allowed for the ultra distances.
