Event information
The Medal Madness race is scheduled for May 30, 2026, at Vietnam Veterans Park in Concord, NC (760 Orphanage Rd). Distances offered are:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All participants must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race. Registrations increase in price on the Monday before the event. The course time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Course and logistics
The event is based at the Dogwood Shelter. The course surface is mainly paved with a short stretch of gravel/dirt and is described as shaded. Restroom facilities are located in the right corner of the parking lot on entry.
Course format and routing are provided as out-and-back loops. The 5K/10K out-and-back measures about 3.11 miles; the 5K completes it once and the 10K twice. The half marathon course is an out-and-back of about 3.28 miles repeated four times.
