The Halloween Fun Run (Zombie Theme) takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 320 Chicago Creek Rd, Idaho Springs, CO 80452. The event offers two course options:

1 mile

Course, features and rules

Both routes run through the Idaho Springs Cemetery and use marked loops. The 5k follows purple arrows and loops around the cemetery two times after turning onto Skyline Road from Hwy 103. The 1 mile follows orange arrows and loops around the cemetery one time after entering via the second entrance. Course marshals will be present. Candy will be available along the course. Prizes will be awarded for Best Adult Costume, Best Youth Costume, Best Pair, and Best Group. Each participant will receive "Smash Cash" for use at a related Pumpkin Smash event.
