Event information
The Halloween Half & 5k takes place on 2025-10-25 in Juneau, Alaska. The event offers two distances:

Categories include age-based divisions for 13.1 miles and 5k, and a volunteer category. The event emphasizes costumes rather than speed; prizes are awarded for costumes, not finishing time.
Course and logistics
Both races are out-and-back from the Pioneer Road trailhead at the north end of North Douglas Highway, heading toward False Outer Point. Parking is available at the Pioneer Road trailhead lot or on the road nearby. There will be a food and drink table and a porta-potty at the start area.
5k runners use a marked turnaround on the road and return to the start. Half marathon runners continue onto Eaglecrest/Fish Creek Road, turn right, go to the one-mile marker, and return. There is no aid station for 5k runners. Half marathoners have an aid station at the halfway turnaround on Fish Creek Road offering water, Gatorade, a healthy snack, and candy. The course runs on the shoulders of North Douglas Highway and Fish Creek Road; runners should be mindful of traffic and variable late October weather and road conditions.
