The Halloween Half & 5k takes place on 2025-10-25 in Juneau, AK, at the north end of Douglas Highway. The event features two primary race distances:

Categories include age-based divisions for the half marathon and the 5k, plus volunteer roles. Parking is available at the Pioneer Road trailhead parking lot or on the road nearby, past the Rainforest Trail and False Outer Point. The event provides a food and drink table and a porta-potty.
Course, logistics and safety
Both races are out-and-back from the Pioneer Road trailhead on North Douglas Highway. Runners head toward False Outer Point; 5k participants follow a marked turnaround on the road and return to the start. Half marathoners continue onto Eaglecrest/Fish Creek Road, turn right, proceed to the one-mile marker, then turn back. There is no aid station on the 5k course. Half marathoners have an aid station at the halfway turnaround on Fish Creek Road offering water, Gatorade, a healthy snack, and candy.
The route runs on the shoulders of North Douglas Highway and Fish Creek Road. Organizers note variable late-October weather in Juneau, possible slippery road conditions, and advise considering traction and taking care when passing other runners due to nearby traffic.
