  • 3.55 mi

Course, entry and awards

Both courses start on an asphalt path behind the parking lot and move into the woods on double-track trails about 5-7 feet wide. The organizer notes GPS units measure the long course at about 6.35 miles while a calibrated bicycle computer measures it at 7.10 miles; the short course is measured about 3.11 miles by GPS and 3.55 miles by a bicycle computer. The races are run counter clockwise.

Entry fees vary by distance and registration period: early, late, and race-day rates are published for each distance. Race shirts are a tri-blend style with no guarantee of a shirt for late or race-day registrants; men's and women's sizes are offered. Medals and prizes are planned for overall top three male and female finishers and for the top three in each age group. Medals will not be mailed; recipients must be present to receive them. Walkers may participate but must be able to complete the distance at a 16-minute-per-mile pace or faster to receive an official time.
