Event overview
The Heady Trotter 4M at the Alchemist is scheduled for Sunday, October 19, 2025, in Stowe, Vermont (100 Cottage Club Road, Stowe, VT 05672). The event includes an in-person 4 mile race, an Adaptive Sports Division, and a virtual option. The course is a closed, USATF-certified 4 mile route that starts and finishes on the lawn of the Alchemist Brewery and runs through the heart of Stowe. The race is chip timed.
Race details
Runners are assigned corrals based on self-identified estimated finish times and will start in waves. There is no onsite parking on race day; participants are directed to park off site and arrive by bus. Registration fees listed are $50 for the in-person 4 Miler and the Adaptive Sports Division, and $45 for the Virtual Heady Trotter; the main event price increases after October 16, 2025. Registration for the Adaptive division ends October 17, 2025, and for the virtual event ends October 16, 2025.
Post-race offerings include a beer distribution of Heady Topper, donuts from Hollow Cider Mill, live music, food trucks, and a custom neoprene koozie and knit race socks among swag items; swag upgrades are available for donors and teams. The event supports Green Mountain Adaptive Sports, with a reported $20,000 matching gift from the Vermont Community Foundation and donor perks for contributions of $25 or more.
