Heart of the Desert Wine Run

The Heart of the Desert Wine Run is a chip-timed 5K run/walk held at Heart of the Desert Pistachios & Wines in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The course features two loops on mostly dirt roads through the winery and pistachio farm, offering scenic views. Participants receive a soft cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, and a pour of wine at the finish line (for those 21+).

The event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages, with discounted registration for minors who do not receive wine. Age group awards are given in ten-year categories, and the race supports the local charity Thrive in Southern New Mexico. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
