Hellbender Half Marathon

The Hellbender 5k & Half Marathon is held annually in Bear Gap, Pennsylvania, within the scenic Weiser State Forest's Roaring Creek Tract. The event features both a half marathon and a 5k race, each following fast, flat, out-and-back courses along reservoir lakes and forest roads in this 9,000-acre park. Named after the native aquatic salamander, the race supports conservation efforts for clean water in the state forest and surrounding watershed.
