About the race
The Heroes of America Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, and Relay take place in Columbus, Georgia, starting and finishing at West 10th Street and Bay Avenue near Woodruff Park. The marathon course, a Boston Marathon qualifier, covers 26.2 miles, featuring a scenic route over the 14th Street Pedestrian Bridge, along the Riverwalk, and through Fort Benning, with a mostly flat terrain and some small inclines. The half marathon and 5K share the same start/finish area, with minimum age requirements of 10 and 6 years respectively.
