Event overview
The Hitchcock Experience takes place at Hitchcock Nature Center in Honey Creek, Iowa, on December 6-7, 2025. The event includes multiple endurance distances on natural-surface trails. The 50 Miler is noted to have a night start. The 101k option is offered as "The Hard Way" and combines the half marathon with the 50-mile course.

Entry details and limits
Registration follows a no refund, no transfer policy. Capacity is limited to 125 total runners across the 50 and 100 mile events. Half marathon field size will be determined by the number of registered 100 mile runners. Entry fees listed in the event information are: Introduction (Half Marathon) $80, Half Experience (50 Miles) $100, Hitch Double - 101k $145, Full Experience (100 Miles) $200.
