Course, awards and parade
The race distance is 3 Mile on a new out-and-back course that starts and finishes at the D.D. Collins House. The course is described as mostly flat and runs along S Comb Ave and St. Clair Ave. All participants receive a beanie hat. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and to the top two finishers in these age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. A Light Up Parade takes place the same day on Clay and Main Streets in uptown Collinsville, with festivities ending at the D.D. Collins House; activities include a tree lighting, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, bonfires and s'mores, and family friendly events.
