Home Run 5K : Middlesex, NC (May 2, 2026)
The Home Run 5K is the 10th annual event held at the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home in Middlesex, NC. The single race distance is 5K. The event supports children served by the Children’s Home programs, including Alternative Family Placement, Family Foster Care & Adoptions, and the Thrive Independent Living program. The course starts and ends in the center of campus, runs through campus and surrounding farmland, and includes several small hills. The event is timed by Run The East, LLC.
Registration and race logistics
Pre-registration opens January 1, 2026 at 12:00am EST. Pre-registration fee is $30 per participant; day-of registration fee is $40. Group pricing is available for online groups of six or more. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women and to the top three men and women in these age categories: Under 10, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. A giveaway short sleeve t-shirt is available for participants who register by April 15. Packet pick-up and check-in take place on race day in Heritage Hall on the Children’s Home campus. Parking is across campus from the check-in and start/finish areas; participants should follow signs and parking crew directions. Strollers are allowed; bicycles, skateboards, and pets are not permitted on the course or at the race site. Unclaimed shirts will not be held or mailed.
