Hoofin' It on the Ranch

Hoofin' It on the Ranch is a running and walking event held at the Grant-Kohrs National Historic Ranch in Deer Lodge, Montana. Scheduled for July 26, 2025, the race offers 3k, 5k, and 10k distances. The scenic course follows Cottonwood Creek to the Clark Fork River, passing through grassland habitats, an old railroad right-of-way, and swampy areas ideal for birdwatching.

Participants can also enjoy views of the main cattle herd in the far pastures. Proceeds support a new track and football field for the Deer Lodge School District.
