Huntsville Triathlon
The Huntsville Sprint Triathlon, held annually in Huntsville, Alabama, features a sprint-distance course with a 400-meter pool swim, approximately 8-mile bike ride, and a 3-mile run. The swim takes place in a competition pool, with athletes seeded by swim time to reduce congestion. The bike course runs mostly on public roads with a dedicated lane, including a recent extension to about 8 miles, avoiding a sharp U-turn by looping around a local training academy.
The run combines cross-country, gravel, and greenway paths with an aid station. The event welcomes individual participants and relay teams, including youth categories, and supports local charities. Participants receive a lightweight finisher t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
